You're right. I had a buzz in both the headlight and the speedo. I fixed the headlight by caulking around the rim. I fixed the speedo with rubber bands! I put them around the speedometer housing atop the gas tank, one around the housing above the speedo and one below. The effect is to raise the speedo a small fraction of an inch higher than it was. Presto: no buzz.
I'm going to run it this way for a while. If the buzz stays away, I'll do something permanent.
